HC Deb 21 July 1994 vol 247 cc514-5W
Mr. Madden

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if the United Kingdom post in Islamabad has received an application for an appeal to be heard in the United Kingdom against the refusal to grant entry clearance to Qazi Nawazish Khan, Ref. IMM C 1490; when the post expects to despatch an explanatory statement to Mr. Khan's representative in the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Baldry

In the absence of any information in London about an application for Qazi Nawazish Khan, I have asked the high commission in Islamabad to let me have a report. I shall arrange for the hon. Member to receive a substantive reply from the migration and visa correspondence unit of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as soon as possible.
