§ Mr. HagueThe hon. Member wrote in May expressing concerns about some aspects of the arrangements for winding up the Belling pension plan. This Department has also received letters on the subject. I am confident that our proposals for changes to the legislation affecting occupational pension schemes set out in the White Paper, "Security, Equality, Choice: the Future for Pensions", Cm 2594, will reduce the prospect of similar concerns arising in future.
