§ Mr. NorrisThe last major statement on airport development was in the 1985 White Paper "Airports Policy" Cmnd 9542. Although this remains relevant today, the Government have acknowledged that it needs to be updated. The recent consultation on the report of the runway capacity to serve the south east—RUCATSE—working group provides a focus for such a statement and we intend to make this before the end of the year.
