§ Sir Patrick MayhewOne special adviser has joined the Northern Ireland Office in the last five years. He was appointed in December 1991, resigned in March 1992 and was re-appointed as my special adviser in June 1992. There is no requirement for special advisers to provide details of their employers after leaving Government service.
