§ Mr. FreemanRemuneration and expenses are paid to members of the Railtrack board as company directors in250W accordance with articles 87 and 88 of the articles of association of Railtrack Group plc. Remuneration is determined by the company by shareholders' decisions in accordance with article 87 and, as the company is wholly owned by the Government, such decisions are given by my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Transport. I am arranging for a copy of these articles to be placed in the Library.
