366Wregional offices of the national health service executive, are on secondment from national health service organisations and so their original contract remains valid. Crown servants employed in the regional offices are subject to the Official Secrets Act 1989. It is normal good practice to ensure that secondees are fully aware of the obligations and responsibilities associated with the post to which they are appointed. The changes introduced on 1 April 1994 did not necessitate the issue of new contracts of employment.
