To ask the right hon. Member for Selby, as representing the Church Commissioners if he will investigate the circumstances of the recent sale of the former Horbury convent, Wakefield; and if he will make a statement.

The commissioners have no status in this matter. They did not own the former Horbury convent, Wakefield, nor did they have any involvement with its sale.
