Mr. Cox

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many children have been murdered by members of their immediate family in each of the last five years in respect of whom a conviction has been obtained within a court.

The table shows the number of offences recorded as homicide, as at 27 August 1993, where the victims were persons under the age of 16 years and the suspect was the parent or other relative and was convicted of homicide:
