§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe French forces in Rwanda are working closely with the aid agencies which are operational in the French protection area. Following an 101W ODA assessment mission to this area last week, we will be funding a number of specific projects with British non-governmental organisations in that area.
§ Mr. WorthingtonTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the adequacy of the international response to the humanitarian needs of those in the zone protected by the French in Rwanda; and what has been the British contribution.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydA number of aid agencies are active in the area protected by the French. We are contributing to the non-governmental organisations Care and Merlin towards their operations in that area.
