To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what would be the cost to Her Majesty's Treasury if personal allowances were increased by(a) £1,000, (b) £2,000, (c) £3,000 and (d) £5,000 for all people aged over (i) 70 and (ii) 75 years for the most recent year for which figures are available.
