To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the military situation in Bosnia.

Mr. Rifkind

The month-long agreement on a cessation of hostilities expired on 10 July. Fighting has continued in various parts of Bosnia, mostly at a relatively low level. The situation in Sarajevo is generally calm but heavier fighting continues in parts of central Bosnia and in the Bihac area of western Bosnia.
