How many inmates there were in each local prison on 1st July 1994; the certified normal accommodation of each of those prisons; and the percentage of overcrowding.

Lord Ferrers has asked me to reply to your recent Question about the population and accommodation of local prisons.

The attached table shows the certified normal accommodation (CNA), population and population as a percentage of CNA (that is overcrowding) of each of the local prisons on 1 July 1994.
