§ Mr. Soames[holding answer 12 July 1994]: Following the announcement of my intention formally to consult all interested parties about BST I wrote on 28 April to 173 organisations, including welfare interests consumer organisations and industry bodies. A copy of the consultation package, including a list of those consulted, was placed in the Library of the House on 9 June.
Up to 7 July, copies had also been sent to a further 38 members of the public, hon. Members and organisations, a list of which has been placed in the Library of the House today.
