§ Mr. AtkinsAt its meeting in May, the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development agreed to aim at a more fruitful co-operation with the Bretton Woods institutions to promote sustainable development through sound macro-economic policies and a favourable international economic environment.
§ Mr. DafisTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will urge the World Trade Organisation to allow the United Nations Commission for Sustainable Development to be represented at meetings of its committee on trade and the environment.
§ Mr. AtkinsThe United Kingdom fully supports the case for admitting the United Nations Commission on500W Sustainable Development as an observer to the committee on trade and environment, to be established in the World Trade Organisation.
