§ Mr. William RossTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will give the location of each(a) primary and (b) secondary integrated school in Northern Ireland, together with the catchment area from which its pupils are drawn, the number of children at each school and its capacity; and if he will give the number of (i) voluntary grammar, (ii) maintained primary and secondary schools 583W and (iii) controlled primary and secondary schools within each such catchment area, showing the number of pupils at those schools and their capacity, or as much of such information as is readily available to him.
§ Mr. AncramThe "open enrolment" regulations currently in operation allow parents to state a preference for the school which they wish their child to attend. If the school has places, it must accept the child. Catchment areas as such are not prescribed and the Department does not hold information on the catchment area of each school.
