§ Dr. Mawhinney[holding answer 4 July 1994]: The information on central research and development 223W expenditure by the Department of Health, including the national health service executive, is collected annually in the "Forward Look of Government-Funded Science, Engineering and Technology". The information for 1990–91 is available in the "1993 Annual Review of Government Funded Research and Development". Copies of these documents are available in the Library.
Information on NHS research and development commissioned at regional and local level is not collected by the Department.
