§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe Welsh Office does not keep records of the number of requests received under the 1992 environmental information regulations; only refusals are specifically logged. Internal procedures, however, seek to ensure that all correspondence is responded to reasonably promptly, and normally well within the two months specified in the regulations.
Up to 30 June 1994, the Welsh Office refused one request for information under the regulations, on the ground that it was commercially confidential.
