Whether it is their opinion that an insistence on hiring a citizen of the European Union as a lecturer in computer science at the University of Abertay in Dundee in place of Dr. Xu Li-Quin is conducive either to scientific development or to academic freedom.
§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Employment (Lord Henley)In the light of further information provided by the University of Abertay in support of its application for a work permit to employ Dr. Xu Li-Quin as a lecturer in computer science the application was approved on 28th June 1994.
