HC Deb 04 July 1994 vol 246 cc42-5W
Mr. Michael

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will provide tables showing(a) the standard spending assessment, (b) the figure his Department estimated as its contribution to spending at standard spending assessment level and (c) the actual figure paid out in respect of each police force in England and Wales for 1993–94 and for each of the previous three financial years.

Mr. Charles Wardle

The following table lists the standard spending assessment for each police force in England between 1990–91 and 1993–94. For Wales, provision for the police is included in the overall assessment made for Welsh county councils. Details of the initial estimate of grant and actual grant paid by the Home Office to all forces in England and Wales during the same period are also shown. The outturn figures for 1993–94 are provisional.
