To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what guidelines he has given to the chairman of the Welsh Development Agency and to the board of the Development Board for Rural Wales concerning the co-ordination of policy and resources management in the present financial year and during 1995–96.

Mr. Redwood

I discuss a wide range of issues with the chairmen and the boards of the Welsh Development Agency and the Development Board for Rural Wales. I have considered with each of them their objectives and priorities and set targets for 1994–95. I will be making a statement about this matter shortly.
