§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe regularly raise the issue of settlements with our Israeli interlocutors. We welcome recent signs of progress on the Syrian track and Prime Minister Rabin's statements that his Government are prepared to dismantle settlements for peace. We consider all settlements in the occupied territories to be illegal and an obstacle to peace.
