§ Mr. ScottAt 4 April 1992, the latest date for which information is available, there were 47,000 invalidity benefit recipients over pension age also receiving an invalidity allowance1. At 30 September 1993, the latest date for which information is available, there were 128,000 retirement pensioners receiving an increase of retirement pension for invalidity under section 47 of the Social Security (Contributions and Benefits) Act 19922.
