§ Mr. Matthew TaylorTo ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster which of the provisions in sections 4.1, 4.1 annex A, 4.2 and 4.3 annex A of the civil service management categories of civil servant are exempt.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThese provisions apply to all civil servants. Exceptionally, special advisers are not covered by the rules on the acceptance of outside appointments —annex A to section 4.3—as the rules themselves make clear.
