To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will publish figures showing what the retirement pension for a single person and a couple would be in April if it had continued to be uprated with earnings or prices, whichever the higher, since this link was broken.

It is estimated that the weekly rate of category A retirement pension would be £76.70 from April 1994 and the combined rate of category A pension and category B pension payable to a couple would be £122.75.
