§ Mr. FreemanThese are matters for British Rail and the West Yorkshire passenger transport executive. However, I understand that electrification is expected to be completed next winter, and that this will be followed by a phased introduction of local electric services. A full service is expected to start in May 1995. It is planned to use refurbished class 308 rolling stock initially; the PTE is still examining possible arrangements for the leasing of new rolling stock in the longer term.
