§ Sir John WheelerMr. Stevens was appointed by the Chief Constable of the RUC to conduct an inquiry into 283W allegations of collusion between members of the security forces in Northern Ireland and loyalist paramilitaries, and to make recommendations. A copy of Mr. Stevens's report was made available to my right hon. Friend the then Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, and a summary of the report was placed in the Library of the House on 17 May 1990.
