§ Mr. HanleyAll defence establishments maintain a regular programme of maintenance work and, where necessary, new construction, both to maintain the operational effectiveness of the defence estate and to 311W update facilities as defence needs change. Such planned refurbishment expenditure is the responsibility of individual budget holders; information is not held centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
