Mr. Dalyell

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will discuss with the United Nations the possibility of holding the trial of two Libyan nationals suspected of the Lockerbie Pan Am 103 crime in The Hague.

It is clear from resolution 883 of 11 November 1993 that the United Nations Security Council envisages trial only before the appropriate United Kingdom or United States court.
