Last July the Department launched the chronic disease management programme, which is an organised programme of care run by general practitioners for people with asthma. And only last month the National Health Service Management Executive asked purchasers to reflect in contracts the professionally developed clinical guidelines produced by the British Thoracic Society on the management of asthma.
§ 21. Ms QuinTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what representations she has recently received about the incidence of asthma in young people.
