In the context of reducing the United Kingdom's carbon dioxide emissions, my hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade underlined the very important contribution made by the nuclear power generating industry. The thermal oxide reprocessing plant provides a service to that industry, which is valued by the customers, from the United Kingdom and overseas, who have placed more than £9 billion of orders.
