Mr. Livingstone

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer of 17 December,Official Report, columns 947–48, how many people were interviewed by the Charity Commission during the investigation; and if Dame Shirley Porter, Michael Ivens, or members of Marketforce Communications Ltd. were interviewed.

Mr. Peter Lloyd

One person, Sir Nigel Mobbs, the chairman of the charity's trustees, was interviewed during the investigation.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer of 17 December,Official Report, columns 947–48, in what months the Charity Commission's investigations into the payments from the Foundation for Business Responsibilities of Marketforce Communications Ltd. were carried out.

It was not necessary for the purposes of the investigation to interview the donors to the Foundation for Business Responsibilities.

Sir Nigel Mobbs, chairman of the trustees, was interviewed during the investigation.

Charities are not required to identify donors or donations in their accounts and these details are not separately identified in the published accounts of the Foundation for Business Responsibilities.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer of 17 December, Official Report, columns 947–48, who has been the director of the Foundation for Business Responsibilities following Michael Ivens' resignation.

Mr. Peter Lloyd

There has been no director of the Foundation for Business Responsibilities since the resignation of Mr. Ivens. Any further appointment is a matter for the trustees.
