Mr. Allen

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer of 14 January:1994,Official Report, columns 338–39, if he will publish the number of complaints about immigration law and practice brought under the existing complaints system, monitored by the new complaints audit committee, and the number of occasions on which disciplinary action has been taken against those responsible for abuses in each of the last five years.

The number of letters of complaint about the conduct and efficiency of immigration service staff in each of the last five years was as follows:
