§ Mr. BowdenTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he will announce a decision with regard to the extension of part M of the building regulations to new and existing residential property.
§ Mr. BaldryAt my request, the Building Regulations Advisory Committee is at present examining the desirability and practicability of extending the provisions in part M of the building regulations to new dwellings. I hope to be in a position to make a statement on this before Easter. There are no proposals to extend part M to existing dwellings.
