Mr. Flynn

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what changes have taken place in the rate of unemployment benefit, plus other benefits payable to a married man with two children on average wages since 1979, using the rate for that year as 100.

Information is in the tables. The only benefit payable to a married man with two children on average earnings is child benefit.
