HC Deb 20 January 1994 vol 235 c773W
Mr. Rendel

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if it is her Department's policy that all bee colonies given antibiotic treatment by its officials for the control of European foul brood should receive a standard uniform dosage regardless of the number of bees in each colony; and what assessment she has made of the effect of such treatment on smaller bee colonies.

Mr. Jack

Different dosages are prescribed for large and small colonies. Experience has shown that our treatments are equally effective on all sizes of colony.
