§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Transport (Lord Mackay of Ardbrecknish)We have asked officials to review the system of economic regulation of airports established under the 1986 Airports Act. This review will include examination of the role of the CAA and MMC, the frequency and cost of reviews of designated airports, and the benefit of any alternative systems. The aim is to produce a discussion paper in Spring 1994.
