HC Deb 18 January 1994 vol 235 c577W
Mr. Harry Greenway

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many households have protected tenancies in(a) Ealing, (b) London and (c) England.

Sir George Young

There is no information available centrally on the number of protected tenancies in Ealing. Provisional estimates from the first half year of data collection from the new survey of English housing are that in 1993 there were around 70,000 protected tenancies in Greater London and 350,000 in England.
