§ Mr. Michael ForsythProvisional figures for the most recent year available, 1992–93, show that 15,885 injuries, including those to members of the public, arose from accidents in the construction industry reported to the relevant enforcing authorities. This is lower than for the previous four years 1988–89 to 1991–92 at 21,509, 22,872, 22,337, and 19,772 respectively.
