Mr. Cash

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what is his policy on the provision of public money via the European Community budget to promote social policies through the Trades Union Congress which are incompatible with the policies of Her Majesty's Government.

The Government are opposed to such subsidies and are considering what steps can be taken to restrict them.
