To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how long the 1st Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers will occupy RAF Brawdy following their arrival in August.

On current plans, the advance elements of the 1st Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers will occupy RAF Brawdy in August 1994 with the remainder of the battalion following in September 1994. The battalion is planned to remain there until 1996.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if RAF Brawdy is still being considered for longer-term Army barracks requirements.

Yes, RAF Brawdy is being looked at as one of a number of options for the Army's longer-term barracks requirements.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when the Royal Welch Fusiliers will transfer from RAF Brawdy.

On current plans, the 1st Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers will transfer from RAF Brawdy in the first half of 1996.
