To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what information he has in regard to the disposal of radioactive waste by Singleton hospital, Swansea in a local landfill site.

The disposal of radioactive waste from Singleton hospital is authorised by Her Majesty's inspectorate of pollution under the provisions of the Radioactive Substances Act 1993. The small volume of waste sent to landfill is mainly in ash form, most of it having already been incinerated, and contains very low levels of radioactivity.
