Mr. Bradley

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many claimants of invalidity benefit receive an additional pension; and what is the average amount payable.

Mr. Scott

On 4 April 1992, the latest date for which information is available, additional pension was paid to 1,230,000 invalidity benefit recipients1. The average weekly amount of additional pension in payment was £13.402.
