§ Miss WiddecombeIt is individuals who claim unemployment benefits. Estimates from the Labour Force Survey of the number and proportion of households where the head of household or their spouse is claiming unemployment related benefits are given in the table, for each spring since 1989. Those claiming unemployment-related benefits consist of those claiming unemployment benefit, income support on account of being unemployed, or national insurance credits.
