§ Mr. StewartAt 30 September 1993 less than 9 per cent. of those on in-patient and day case waiting lists had waited more than 12 months—down from 15 per cent. in 1991. All health boards are working to ensure that no one waits longer than 12 months by April 1997, and some are on course to achieve this significantly sooner.
