§ Mr. BaldryThe Government recognise the importance of checking temporary grandstand structures by qualified engineers. The Building Regulations Advisory Committee has considered this recently, and as a result my officials are discussing with the Institution of Structural Engineers and other bodies in what ways the existing technical guidance needs to be strengthened.
