§ Mr. MaddenTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will place in the Library the provisional list of countries whose nationals will require visas to visit the EC from 1996; what plans he has to include(a) Barbados and (b) the Bahamas on the list; and what representations he has received from (i) these or (ii) other countries concerning their inclusion on any common visa list.
§ Mr. Charles WardleWe await receipt from the Council Secretariat of the European Commission's proposals in respect of the list of countries whose nationals must be in possession of a visa when crossing the external borders of the member states. As soon as these proposals are received, they will be made available to Parliament in accordance with the normal scrutiny arrangements. No representations of the kind mentioned have been received.
