§ Mr. TippingTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what monitoring is conducted of the arable area payments scheme; and if she will make a statement.
§ Mr. JackIt is not Government policy to publish specific information about monitoring arrangements, as that could seriously hamper effective enforcement. However, a number of techniques are used to monitor compliance with the scheme, including detailed checks of area aid applications and field inspections.
