To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many landowners in Wales are receiving annual payments under the arable area payments scheme(a) in each band of £25,000 up to £500,000 and (b) over £500,000; and if he will make a statement.

It is not possible to differentiate between landowners and tenants who claim aid. The number of claimants receiving payment is:

  1. 1. £25,000-£49,000: 10
  2. 2. £50,000 and above: none
