HL Deb 28 February 1994 vol 552 c61WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether it is the case that the United States conducted an "air war exercise in the skies above Korea on 2nd February" involving "some 350 warplanes including F-16, F-15, F-4, F-5, and A-10" (BBC summary of world broadcasts), and whether they consider such exercises contribute to the peaceful resolution of current negotiations between the United States, North Korea and the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Baroness Chalker of Wallasey

There was no US "air war exercise" over the Republic of Korea on 2nd February of the kind alleged in the Pyongyang radio broadcast.
