Mr. Mullin

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how much British Aid is currently being given to Indonesia; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

We expect United Kingdom bilateral aid expenditure for Indonesia in the current financial year to be about £21 million. Our aid supports projects in such sectors as power, forestry, railways, civil aviation, education, broadcasting and public administration.
